This Privacy Policy describes how BV Circuits (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our Website (https://bvcircuits.com) and Services, including our AI-based schematic analysis tool. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before accessing or using our Website or Services. By accessing the Website or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Website or Services.
Types of Data We Collect
We collect information about you in two ways: (1) data you provide directly to us, and (2) data we collect automatically when you use our Services. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the information we collect:
Account Information
In order to use certain features, you need to create a user account. If you create user account on our Website (including by login through third party provider, such as with your Google account), we will store data you provide in your account:
- Personal details (name, email address, contact information)
- Order history and details
- Account preferences and settings
We retain this information to personalize your experience and process your orders. We only share this data with third parties when necessary to fulfill orders or when legally required.
Schematic Analysis Data
When you upload files for AI-based analysis:
- We collect the schematic files (e.g., PDF, netlist, BOM)
- Metadata such as upload time, IP address, and device/browser info
- Project information (e.g., Project name, description, EDA tool)
- AI-generated diagnostic reports
We retain this information so it can be displayed on your user dashboard and remain accessible to you. Uploaded files are automatically deleted within 7 days of running an analysis, unless a longer retention period is legally required. In addition, we may review and analyze this data internally to improve our algorithms and enhance diagnostic accuracy.
We treat all user data as strictly confidential. Your schematics are never shared or sold, and are only processed by trusted, industry-standard providers. For example, we use providers such as Google Cloud to securely store files, and AI service providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and xAI APIs) to generate diagnostic reports. These services process your data only for the purposes described here and in accordance with their own privacy practices.
Payment Data
When purchasing products through this Website, we collect and store certain data about your purchase as necessary to process your order:
- Billing name and address
- Payment processing is handled securely by third-party providers (e.g., PayPal). BV Circuits does not collect or store your payment card details. All payment transactions are encrypted and processed through secure payment gateways
User-Generated Content and Comments
When you leave comments on the site we collect the comment content, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Communication
If you contact us, we collect and store your contact information, messages, and any other data you provide.
Usage Data
We collect statistical information about how visitors interact with our Website. This data is aggregated and anonymized, meaning we cannot identify individual users from it. We collect:
- Which pages and products you view
- How long you spend on different pages
- Which features you use on our Website
- What you search for on our site
- How you navigate through the Website
- Which website referred you to us (your referral source)
